I am sorry that first review, of this product, was a very bad experience for the person. I have had this coffee pot for three years now, and it has never caused any problems for me what so ever. I even use it at home, on my kitchen stove, and it still works great. I agree, I would never use this on an actual camp fire, I use it on the gas stove. Over all, I am very happy with this product, forgot what I paid for it, but, clearly it was worth the price, as I am still using it, after three years.

Q: Is a filter required? It seems that the holes in the stainless steal coffee strainer are too big and would let the ground coffee through into the jug and into a mug. Is a filter require or how do you use this camping coffee maker?

A: You can use filter but it is not come with this product. The percolator can only filter the coffee beam cracked into small piece but not fine powder.

A: Voici les directives: 1. Installer le bouton de verre sur le couvercle en vissant. 2. Mettez une ou deux cuillères à soupe de café, normalement broyé, directement dans le panier métallique (dépend de la force vous aimez votre café). 3. Verser de l'eau dans le pot. Mettez directement sur le brûleur et laisser cuire jusqu'à ébullition pendant environ 8 minutes. S'il vous plaît ne pas l'utiliser directement sur un feu de camp ou un feu ouvert. 6. Versez le café après que la poignée soit refroidit.
