Purchased this tent for our first year of camping. Not too bad setting up. Definitely one of the best I have ever used. Very roomy! Highly recommend!!!

This is a great tent. You can set Mom and Dad up in one room and the kids in the other. Tons of space inside, easy to stand up and walk.

Q: What material are the tent and the fly made of and what is the water resistance rating/level (1000 - 3000 mm?) of them?

A: The tent and rainfly material is polyester taffeta with 800mm Poly Urethane coated fabrics. So the tent fabric is not the water proof but water repellent material as other Broadstone tents.

Q: Extra Waterproofing - Seam tape and spray: Can these types of products be applied to this inside and outside of the tent, fly, and bottom of tent? were in a 48 hour thunderstorm (125 mm of rain) old tent did not survive (water in corners, through seams, seeping through floor--and this is with a tarp underneath) Don't want wet socks, or damp sleeping bags or byo-bed again.

A: Since this tent was full coverage rainfly designed, it is pretty much protect leaking from normal rains but if the weather condition such as 48 hour thunderstorm with 125mm of rain, no tent will protect the leaking. We are strongly recommend purchasing, instead of putting spraying seam sealers, extra PE tarps and have tent fully covered by PE tarps while heavy rains. Two PE tarps will cover entire tent roof and body from the rain.

Q: Is there a picture with the rain fly on? Is the fly full, and does it need to be staked out with guy lines?

A: The fly is almost completely full, except for on the one side where one of the doors are. It just has an opening, which is kept away from the tent by a pole that runs over top of the tent. The other door is completely covered by the fly and has a zipper to get in and out. The fly does not have to be staked down as it is kept away from the actual tent, but there are lines attached if you wanted to do so, or if the wind picked up.
