I have always enjoyed Bose products from my original bookshelf speaker to my Bose Acoustimass speakers. The new bluetooth speakers are a whole new world of sound sources. I have the Mini, the Micro and now the Flex in addition to my Quiet Comfort ear buds.

Wow! I baught a second speaker to replace a Sony mxcd3, which is failing. the Bose portable smart and old pair of original bt-soundlink headphones, had me thinking bose for sound nad perhapsconnectivity was the answer. Not so... the unit seems overly large and for me the most sound comes from the right half with power button on top left. Can't sybcronize music playback between my smart and flex: even thogh they play in stereo (for 4 seconds) they give that away and then its party mode and I can't even use the smart speaker to control the group. I am considerably underwhelmed both by the size of the flex 2nd-gen and its lack of connectivity: so far as I am concerned, I should have spent my money on anotherbrand of speaker. Sound is good but that is all.

Q: Does it work with Alexa?

  • A: No. The Bose Sound Flex 2 has its own voice assistant and isn’t compatible with Alexa or other smart assistants, but it does work with supported smart speakers and soundbars.

Q: This might be a stupid question because electronics are not my thing. Can this speaker be linked to Spotify from my phone

  • A: if you have the bluetooth on, that connects your phone to the speaker, then it will play whatever you play on the phone...
