Very hard finish!

Very hard finish! I was amazed at the surfaces I was able to rebuild using this product. I even rebuilt the rusted corner of my vehicle door using only autobody metal tape as the backer for this filler. So far so good, and it looks good. We'll see how well it stands up to possibly hitting something when the door is opened. It does harden very quickly after the activator is added. The instructions say to only mix small amounts at a time, and this is very important, as it hardens quickly. Have all your tools ready and handy. You should even clean your tools (I used Acetone) before mixing another batch, otherwise your tool becomes caked in hard filler when you are trying to apply the next batch.

Q: Can you put Bondo Filler on after using Asphalt Undercoating?

A: Unfortunately, Bondo has not been tested over asphalt undercoating. It is recommended to use Bondo over the bear surface such as metal, wood, masonry, etc.

A: This product is better suited for repairing metal. Most bumpers now are made from plastic. Please see 047-9388-4 Bondo Bumper Repair Kit or 047-5601-0 Bumper Repair Kit for your needs.
