it started out great. lasted 2 weeks and flamed I have to keep twisting and turning to get it in just right to charge. bought it on sale for half price. piece of garbage not even worth that. better off buying from temu.

Very poor durability!!

At first the cable was great. I found that the polyurethane outer braiding was more durable than nylon braided cables (although do keep in mind I’ve used nylon cables for MUCH longer than this cable which is braided with polyurethane . After about 2 months the cable has become super unreliable at the lightning-end in terms of the angle that it is at. It has to be at the perfect angle to actually charge and any slight movement will stop charging. Whenever I used this cable I made sure (as with all my cables ) to not bend or kink the cable anywhere; especially I would always make sure that both ends with plugs don’t have any excessive stress on them and that they are kept as straight as possible. Unfortunately all of this did nothing for this cable and now it is pretty much useless because even setting it to charge my phone overnight (and making sure that the cable is perfectly straight and charging when I leave it), I more often than not wake up to a phone either not charged at all pretty much (5-10%) or charged to only about half. It’s rare that it will actually charge my iPhone to 100%! I have cables that I bought in emergencies from gas stations (that are cheap and I expected them to last for a short time and really be more disposable than anything) last much much longer than this cable which cost 4x more. I really don’t suggest buying this cable because the Canadian Tire that I bought it at said that there’s no warranty and they can’t do anything about it (even tho the cable looks brand new) and suggested that I just buy the SAME cable again…lol, no thanks! I recommend getting something from a different store (potentially online) where there’s a way bigger selection and better prices (and some cables even have warranties!). That’s what I’ll probably be doing soon while I use my gas station cable in the meantime!
