A fantastic little product for listening to music on the go. We drive an older vehicle with basic AM/FM radio and a broken CD player so finding this gadget was a true blessing! Now we can connect our music and downloads to the car and listen on the go. Highly recommend!

Connected to my phone but won’t play anything through the radio

I purchased this FM transmitter for my 2011 Nissan Juke so I can have Bluetooth audio, and for that purpose, it works great! It is so nice to be able to stream music without having cords and cables all over the car. That said, the performance can be hit or miss. I find it is best when tuned to 88.1, any other frequencies cause a lot of static and get lots of interference. The audio quality is also noticeably worse than what you would get with an AUX cable, but there is a small bass boost button on the front of this receiver that helps enhance the sound quality and it really makes a huge difference. Build quality of the device is good. It is all plastic but the shell feels durable and it is fairly small and doesn’t look ugly or take up a large amount of space. There is a volume knob on the front as well as a push to talk button for Bluetooth phone calls. There are two standard USB ports, one for charging only, and one for audio streaming, as well as a USB-C port for charging with modern phones. The charging capabilities are fine, but they take quite a long time to charge an iPhone 15. A few little nitpicks I have with this device: - The bass boost button needs to be pressed every time you restart the car, which can get annoying. -The audio quality for phone calls is poor on both ends. Several people I’ve talked to said my voice was very low and they had trouble hearing me. -Lots of static on most tuning stations, 88.1 seems to work the best, but the overall sound quality is closer to radio quality. -The blue LED lights around the device flash constantly while music is playing with no way to disable them. It is very distracting while driving at night due to the location of my cigarette lighter port. -Price is very expensive compared to offerings online. If you can get this on sale for $25.00 or less at your local Canadian Tire, I would say it is a worthwhile purchase, even just for allowing older vehicles to have Bluetooth audio. Eliminating all of the cables feels so much better. However, at the regular price, it is a bit too expensive.
