    Poor design

    Wanted a simple socket to build extension for air compressor cord. Purchased the blue hive for lack if something better. The female sleeve is smooth and should have groves or notches to secure input accessories under rough road conditions. The spring loaded door is much too firm. Plastic was flexible in the store but brittle in the cold. Removed one spring to relieve the stress.

    I bought this wired it up and it broke on first use, two fatal flaws the door is way to strong and presses so hard on plugged in item it causes a bad connection blowing fuses. After removing the door to solve that problem when unplugging an item the entire connection cylinder comes out with the plugged item when removed causing yet another fuse to blow. This thing is a fire hazard and should be pulled from store shelves immediately! Products like this give Canadian Tire a bad name.
