Q: How long can I expect an Octenol cartridge to last?

A: a month in the start of the season but once skeeters are under control it will last about 45 days. In Manitoba we need three to get through the spring & summer

Q: How do i know when the cartridge is empty ?

A: My first indication is that the sticky trap is not as successful during daylight hours. Second, wearing a rubber glove, I lift out and shake the cartridge. If it seems lighter than when I first instslled it, this confirms my first thoughts above. You can also control how quickly it becomes depleted by adjusting the amount of air flowing through the top cap of the Skeeter Vac
