You can only get through half a can

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For all intents and purposes, the product worked as described. It is good at breaking up rusted components, which is what I needed it for. However, it seems the can loses pressure about halfway through use so you can never get through the entire can. After looking up previous reviews, it seems this is a common issue with this brand that happened more frequently with the addition of the prostraw. I also stress the “be patient” part after spraying to allow the product to work through.

I probably wont go for this one again , without being able to insert a straw or change the tip 75% of the product is atomized before it reaches the parts that need to be lubed. I know I live in the rust belt but this by design is made to waste your money.

Made my job a lot easier. Had a utility trailer that hadn't moved in 5 years and the tires disintegrated and had to come off but the wheel nuts were seized on so badly that I snapped one stud trying to remove the nut. I sprayed this stuff on, hoping for the best, let it sit overnight and it didn't disappoint. I was able to get the remaining nuts off without snapping anymore studs but even though I got them off, my impact wrench was working very hard turning them back so it isn't completely "cure in a can" but it worked enough that I was able to get the work done without causing anymore damage. I would definitely use this again in the future.

Q: Is this safe for rubber, plastic, painted surfaces.

  • A: PB will stain most rubbers and plastics. Low density rubbers and plastics can deteriorate with prolonged exposure to the fluid. PB is safe for most paints such as factory quality automotive paints.

Q: Can you use Blaster to loosen a seized Anode Rod in a hotwater heater without risk of any contamination

  • A: I would think it would work quite well, just let it soak a bit. I haven’t changed one in a while but I seem to remember using a element hex tool. You put a screwdriver through the hole in it. I think I used a piece of pipe over the screw driver as a breaker bar.

Q: A common review complaint is that the cans lose pressure and cannot be sprayed, leaving 1/2 or more in the can that cannot be used. Had this been addressed? Thank you.

Q: hey i have a sears craftsman6/22 snow blower and the wheel on it has been sitting and rusting both of the wheels are stuck so right now i am a sitting duck would pb blaster be the only tool or would i need more than that get back to asap thx :)

Q: Has anyone used this product to free up the stem of a plumbing ball valve? If so how did it perform?

  • A: PB Blaster has been on the market for over 60 years. In this time, it, has been used in countless plumbing applications and ball valves would be considered a common application. PB Blaster is the #1 selling penetrant for a reason, it works. We would recommend saturating the valve and give it time to penetrate any rust and corrosion.

Q: I have an older truck with a rim seized to it from rust could I use this product to help with taking off the rim?

  • A: Yes PB B'laster is very effective in removing rusted on wheel lug nuts. We recommend spraying a liberal amount and allowing the capillary action of B'laster to work over night to loosen the nuts.
