I bought this futon a while ago and its been working pretty good. The cushion itself is pretty thick but over time it does start to thin out but that's how futons are. You just have to flip the cushion once a month. The metal parts of the futon came with a few marks and chips in the paint but they aren't too noticeable once its all made. Now when you're making the futon I suggest you have one other person help you because some parts are a bit tricky. It comes with tools to put it together but you need your own X screw driver. The Futon sink in the middle when its laid flat a bit but only because that's where the bottom of the couch and the back rest of the couch meet. There's a small gap between the two so when you lay in the middle it folds in just a bit. Its still comfortable though for one person. I wouldn't suggest having two because you'll both be pulled into the middle. Over all I don't regret purchasing this Futon and it works very well. I would recommend this.

Great entry-level futon

Bought this in January after purchasing my first house, so I've had it for almost a year now. My budget was low as I could not afford a full pricey couch, so this was perfect. I built it myself in about an hour and it's very simple to use and doesn't take up a lot of visual space.
It's been almost a year and it still works just fine. The only issue is that the padding in the mattress is beginning to get very thin, but that is understandable given that I use it daily as my main living room sofa and the padding isn't meant to last for decades like higher priced couches. I got what I paid for, which is what one should expect at such a reasonable price for a futon with enough room to sleep two people when necessary.

The bed is really comfy and easy to access. But as a permanent sofa it gets uncomfotable for long movies. But great for a guest room or couch to crash on.

Cheap! Cheap! Cheap!

What a piece of garbage! I bought this last weekend and everything is cheap. The frame is garbage and so is the mattress - don't waste your time or money. Its in the basement with all the rest of our household junk. very disapointed
