Q: How much black earth do I have to purchase? I have 3 flower boxes which are 13 feet long, 10 inches deep, and 1 foot wide. I also have one other box that is 6 ft. long 10 inches deep, and 1 foot across.

A: it will take at least 40 bags of the 27 L Black Earth. 3 boxes at 13 ft x 10 inches (0.83 ft) x 1 ft = 10.79 cu. ft. per box x 3 = 32.37 cu. ft. 1 box at 6 ft x 10 inches (0.83 ft) x 1 ft = 4.98 cu. ft. for that box 32.37 + 4.98 = 37.35 cu. ft. Total 1 cu. ft. = 28.32 L So 37.35 cu. ft. x 28.32 L = 1057.752 L 1057.752 L ÷ 27 L = 39.176 bags So it will take a minimum of 39 bags of 27 L Black Earth
