We have now had 2 of these units burn out in the exact same way! The only reason we got a second one the same was because we did like it (when it was working) and now we had a back-up pot. But to have 2 units fail in the exact same way, not a very good testimony. I think i'll direct my money away from B&D for the next purchase...

No, I do not recommend this product.

The quality on these has gone downhill. I bought 2 of them and they spontaneously stopped working, returned them and the replacements also stopped working. These are just a waste of money.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good but with some minor issues

It's a good and affordable rice cooker. The rice cooker does a good job in cooking rice with minimum manual intervention. The only things I didn't like is that before starting to cook...The cooking bowl has to be placed into a particular position by turning the bowl clockwise and anticlockwise....But the process is not as easy as it sounds and only after a lot of attempts the bowl gets locked in the right position plus it ends up leaving scratches at the bottom of the cooking bowl. The second thing I don't like is even though you enter enough water for cooking rice...There is still some browning that happens at the bottom.most layer and a bit of rice sticks to the bottom...But given the price ..It is a good rice cooker

      Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Is the inner cooking pot made of Teflon-coated aluminum? Recently bought this & am disappointed to realize that I think the inner pot is made of aluminum.. I would have hoped that manufacturers would know the dangers of aluminum by now. If it isn't then what is the material please? Thanks.

      • A: Thank you for your interest in this Black+Decker rice cooker. The cooking pot is a nonstick coated aluminum. Our nonstick coating formulations are considered proprietary, but we're happy to share that they are stable, inert, non-reactive, non-toxic and are PFOA-free. If you need further assistance, I’d be happy to help! Please contact us at youropinionmatters@spectrumbrands.com and reference 42061944 so that we may better assist you.
