Black & Decker Breadmaker

I have had this black and decker bread machine for over 12 years. Works perfectly and makes the best breads with no issues ever

I'm an avid hobby cook/recipe creator, so I really put small appliances through the mill. After wearing out two bread machines within a fairly short period, x three years, I went on a mission to find THE BREAD MACHINE that works for ME and MY needs, as well as being trustworthy and durable enough to accommodate the pre-mixed products, or scratch ingredients I fill it with, since I order "specialty" flours, dried berries, grains, nuts, etc to create my OWN, ultra-healthy, bread creations. I cook 5-6 times per week, so my family and I, swiftly, go through two loaves of homemade bread a week. On weekends, I may make a "special treat" for my family just for snacking on during tv time, with my homemade, compound butters/spreads that I also create. NOTHING more satisfying than a lovey, communal loaf of bread, sitting in the middle of the table on a Sunday morning, to share among family, or visiting guests! I can say that my loaves come out of this model bread machine looking like delectable works of bread art, and easily weigh-out at two pounds once fruits, nuts, plus other additional ingredients are added-in. Calculating ingredients is important for creative bread-making, however, so follow a tried-and-true recipe if you're preparing "homemade" for the first time in a bread maker, so there is no "run-over" while machine cooks your product. This model is a machine that doesn't require "hit-and-miss" guessing, so a consumer is able to be proud of the very FIRST loaf, whether from scratch, OR from a box mix. I've made approx. 25+ loaves since owning my #BlackAndDecker 1.5 Pound #BreadMachine in 2019 alone and am very confident in saying that this model has served me above and beyond my expectations. Clean-up is breezy and the machine doesnt take up much counter space at all. So...MUCH MORE BREAD MAKING TO BE DONE here in my Southern Kitchen! Nothing better than the aroma of freshly baked bread in the morning. But as others have mentioned . . . why not include a few basic recipes in the book? We've had to fiddle with various ingredients just to make basic whole wheat bread. Why include sweet breads but not basic bread? Where can we find some recipes for this machine??

Lost my old, well used, Black & Decker Bread Machine in a house fire - great product! Replaced it with the 1.5 Pound Black & Decker Machine. SO disappointed. Noisy, vibrates, etc, but the lack of basic recipes was the biggest disappointment. Including basic white bread, pizza dough, etc recipes should have been a 'no brainer' . I want my old machine back, 'sob, sob'....

This comes with a manual which includes a few bread recipes. Follow these recipes, this machine will give you good loaf. The machine is a bit sensitive to its calibration with these recipes. It could be a negative point, but not a big deal. Gives good gluten-free loaf as well. A bit noisy but not more than dishwasher, hair dryer ....
