    Didn’t work well the first time I used it. Then it stopped working altogether. Understood that it was a siphon and followed instructions but with no amount of pumping could I get the siphon to start the gas running, even with increasing the gradient

    It works very poorly, and always looses its prime so when you go to use it the pump just cavatates.

    No, I do not recommend this product.

    Q: Does the pump come on automatically?

    • A: It is not an automatic pump but does come with the bilge pump, the hose, thru hull, clamps, wires, on / off switch and fuse for safely setting up a bilge pump. You can add a float switch part number (79-3531) Attwood part # 4201-7 to this kit to make it an automatic pumps. You can also buy the Sahara 500 Automatic pump that comes with a built in float switch (79-3514) Attwood part # 4505-7
