I bought this for my son and we used it to fix our heavy duty metal gate. This blow torch gets very hot and is powerful for big and small jobs. It has good features and according to my son, its a good tool. He also uses it for forging knives. I would recommend.

Its OK

Bought this last week and used it for soldering a couple of new fittings on a heating system.
Worked OK, but I wish I had spent the extra $10 and purchased the torch with the adjustable flame.
This one is all or nothing, which for smaller pipe and fittings is not great. It did work well for heating a seized fitting, which I was then able to remove.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can the Bernzomatic TS4000 product number 058-7520-4 be used with a standard 1LB propane cylinder? I understand that the flame won't be as hot as with the MAP gas but need to know if it will function.
