I bought this

for my daughter, after my wife broke the kitchen broom handle off in the regular roller. I got a new kitchen broom and this for less $ than a proper long handle, and it worked well for daughter's room painting, she says.

Never locked and then broke.

For the short time I had it the extendable rod never did lock in place and after one room it just fell apart completely and could not be fixed so it went in the garbage. Complete waste of money.
