Q: Is this basic plastic sheet very clear? And if it is not, does the store carry something like rolls of clear plastic, known as plastic sheeting? I want to cover a large picture and protect it from water stains - and do not want to pay the price of glass - any suggestions you may have are most welcomed

1 Answer

A: This plastic sheet is clear. Recycled material was used where possible so it is not classified as very clear. If the you want to cover the painting for a short time while you are doing renovations then yes it will work. It is recommended that you use a medium weight (49-4850) or heavy weight (49-4810) to cover the painting. For a larger area 10' x 25' you should use 49-4854 (heavy weight) or 49-4850 (medium weight). If you are looking for a permanent solution then it is recommended that you use this glass.
