Product Details

Ben-Mor's aluminum sleeves make an easy upgrade for worn or frayed cables. The 20 pieces included allow you to repair multiple cables around the house. Questions

1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: What is the holding strength of this sleeve? i.e. When correctly installed, what is the maximum load it will withstand prior to slippage or failure?

1 Answer
  • A: It all depends on how well the sleeves are applied. Because of point loading the sleeves will always slip before the wire breaks but it is virtually impossible to say at which point. Impact loads versus slowly increasing loads will all be a factor in the performance of both the cable and the sleeve. Hope this information is helpful to you.
