Out of the box on paper at 30 yards, my first crossbow. Accurate, reliable love it ,only thing id change is weight, kinda heavy to haul to your spot, but like ol faithful its there every time.

The string popped off the cam after shooting about 10 arrows. Looked at other reviews and it seams to be a very common problem. Wish I would have read the reviews before buying. Emailed customer service and am awaiting a response.

Q: how many yards can you ethically harvest a deer with this crossbow

A: I have hunted with a crossbow for many years and have taken several deer with it. Even if the manufacturer claims the effective range is up to 80 yards my maximum distance is 50yards. After 50 yards there is too much time delay between when the trigger is pulled and when the arrow hits target. A lot can happen in this amount of time.

Q: WHAT IS THE STRENGTH OF THIS CROSSBOW WHAT SIZE ANIMALS IS IT MADE FOR HUNTING, IN EXAMPLE CAN I HUNT ELK OR MOOSE WITH THIS PARTICULAR CROSSBOW

A: The Crossbow is a 160lb. draw weight, shooting 350ft/sec with 109 ft pounds of Kinetic energy. Please refer to your provincial hunting regulations as the minimum draw weight required to legally hunt each species is provincially regulated. For example Ontario requires 119 Lb. draw weight for Moose and Manitoba requires 150lb. draw weight for Big Game.
