Barbie Starlight Hoverboard

My daughter hurt her finger really bad in the plastic part that spins. I’m even scared of the tge thing. It has nipped me before!!!

I bought this item last Dec. 2016 from “Barbie.com” and I fly it outside on nice days due to my cats thinking it is a bird to catch. It is a total blast to fly once you get the hang of the remote. If it does crash and a bit of foam breaks, a good brand of white glue, carpenters glue or foam glue will fix it. I have had this little stinker flying all over my yard and a vacant lot next door and other then when a breeze comes up to push it around, I have no problem with a flight. The only real problems I have with it is flight time, (About 6 to 8 minuets.) charge time (2 hours. This NEEDS to be gotten faster. “Spin Master-Air Hogs” can do it in about a half hour. Get with the program on this one Mattel!) and not being able to change out the battery for more flight time on the spot. If the Li/Po battery stops taking a charge, you have to buy an entire new item IF Mattel still makes it by that time! It would be better to be able to swap out a new battery for the old one as needed and still have a good, working toy! I have had people driving by while I am flying and make fun comments about it, giving me a thumbs up, to pulling in my driveway and asking to try it and want to know where to get one. I let them try it (With my coaching them.) and I tell them where to get it. HOWEVER! I would just love to see and fly one that was made larger, with a FULL SIZE ”Barbie” on it! Make it in the same way as the small one and with the same remote with all functions the same as the small one, but add the improvements I recommended above. All in all, this is a fun little flier and great for beginners in quadcopters like myself. It does not do complicated stunts like most of the other quadcopters do, but that is just fine for beginners. I will recommend it for people from 8 to 80 (I am 60 but 9 in heart and soul.) for a fun little flier.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. Worked fine and was fun for a few weeks. Just the other day I recharged it as it was losing energy. It charged, but now the controller won't synch to it....changed batteries, charged longer etc....no luck. Like most of these other reviews my daughter got this for Christmas from Santa. She was really excited. The first time we played with it, it worked great. The only problem was that it only worked for about 8 min. Whicj kind of sucked. The thing that sucked worse was that after that first time, we could never get it to work again. I came on here to look at the other reviews and many others were having the same issue. Mattel always answered back to all reviews to go to http://fpfami.ly/08d5. I tried to be proactive and go to the site and it was a bad link... this is really disappointing.

I bought this last month for Christmas. My daughter was so excited about it. We played with it 2x for about 5min each and now it won't work. I charged it to be sure it wasn't the battery but when I turn everything on and it beeps, I push the button, the fans spin for second and then die. Huge waste of money for $60.
