Barbie Camper

My daughter got this for christmas today from santa and the back door wont stay shut and the table and chairs dont stay in place. Not worth $100 at all. Last year her Barbie car didnt work and we had to return it also a christmas gift. Im not sure if i should return it and chance her not getting another one because im sure its not going to be in stock. Very disappointing.

I bought this 5 days ago my daughter loves it! However this item isn't worth the plastic it's made of. it's says simply push the button and pull open I am a full grown woman and I struggle to just push the button and open, i have to yank it to get it up, so its easier for her to keep it open then to close it for barbie to travel! And let's not forget the gaping hole on one side when it is left open. My daughter been in a real camper she says her barbies can't travel safely!

I received this item about 4 weeks ago now and my daughters, aged 6 and 4, have been playing with it ever since. They are big Barbie fans and play with the them on their large wooden dolls house. Thai camper van is very well proportioned in comparison. My daughters really enjoy the little bits and bobs that come with it, cups and plates, a hanging chandelier, a hammock and several bottles etc. However, that being said, I found it very annoying. I am forever fixing the slide, which comes away at the joints. The back door opens even when the clasp is pushed down in the lock position. The extensions don't slide down easily and there is nothing to cover one side of the camper van when it's closed down and so you can see the couch is folded over. It's very rickety and plastic. I gave 4 stars because these points don't annoy the children but it would be more like 2 or 3 stars from me.

My 3 year old received this toy in October, and ever since then she has been barbie mad!! this toy has really converted my daughter. She loves it!! And when ever i try to put it away she tells me off lol. My personal opinion of this toy is a little different though. As much as i love to see my daughter happily playing with her toys this one toy you would end up having to clean up after for hours, especially if you have a child like mine who loves to carry her toys around. On the bight side this pop up camper van has lots of features, and you are able to alter the way the accessories are placed. Lots of fiddly sticker to decorate the van, but takes far to long to figure out where each of them belong. Overall this toy is a winner for little girls but setting up can be time consuming so not a winner for me.

On receiving the Barbie Pop Up Camper, it looked too good to be true - such a simple idea but it's genius! Everything that comes with the camper stores away inside itself without having to dismantle anything at all. It took me 40 minutes to set it up initially, mainly due to applying the stickers neatly in the right places. Instructions were on hand to do this but some of them were quite fiddly, it would be great if this was already done! Aside from this there wasn't much else to assemble. My 2 girls aged 3 and 7 got straight to work playing together with it (which was lovely to watch) and soon had their barbie voices on chattering away! After an hour and a half I helped them pack it up which was very easy and they now do it themselves. It is then easy to carry with the built in handle, and store away with the small parts safe and secure away from younger children. My only criticism of this toy is that the clip on the front door is a bit weak so the door keeps coming off during play. Other than that a great concept, highly recommended for any barbie fan or household short on storage space :)
