Follow up to "Only lasts a few months"

Please see my previous review. I got the second replacement in very late November 2025. I first noticed this replacement stopped working on January 7, 2026, when I was out of town and of course didn't have my receipt. However I was in the vicinity of the storte I originally purchased it at, using my Canadian Tire Credit Card. I knew the purchase date (photographed it at my destination the night of the original purchase). The first time I tried to return this time, the store didn't have any staff on that could address an exchange without the original receipt. I wasn't going to wait till they returned from their break, or whatever it was. I went back 2 days later. After quite a few tries, they couldn't find the original sales record, but exchanged the item anyway. So, product fail, and partial store fail. At least the customer service person was reasonable about it. Pouch was always kept indoors in a cabinet unless I was using the car. I maybe used the car for 1000 km before I noticed it had failed. It is kept in the tray under the arm rest in the centre console of the car, when I'm using it. I only have it in my pocket when I'm out of the car shopping or something. The replacement item feels different. Material seems stiffer (heavier?). Not sure if it will last until the warranty expires on April 16, 2026. Will just have to wait and see. Finally, Canadian Tire has blocked this follow up review, as a "duplicate" submission" so I have utilized a different e-mail address. Follow up is important. There should be provision for that. Canadian Tire Fail #3.

Only lasts a few months

I like the size, and side opening. Interior chain is helpful. Works fine when new, but original one was purchased mid April, 2025. As of mid November, 2025 I have replaced it twice because it stopped blocking the signal from my fob. This doesn’t get heavy use, I only drive about 12,000 km per year. I will keep replacing these until the one year warranty expires, but I don’t enjoy wasting my time having to exercise my rights to warranty replacements.

No, I do not recommend this product.
