    Confused

Why do people keep reviewing this poorly and saying “I plugged a cooler in and it drained my battery” as if that’s a problem with the socket. Coolers are tiny refridgerators. They consume a lot of power. Like a battery’s worth overnight for example. This is not a problem with the extension cord! Haha. If you had used it to charge a phone, your battery would have held a charge... but no, your battery (no matter what plug you use) will not power an electric cooler for a week without a serious solar charging setup too. TLDR: this extension cord is juuuust fine. Great addition to our trailer for camping off grid. It allows us to easily keep electronics charged. ...But it will not magically make your battery work like shore power. Obvs.

    Pooched after one day

Bought to power a Koolatron cooler direct from deep cycle battery. Unit died overnight and cost me a cooler full of food during a weekend at camp. Last AutoTrends item I'll ever buy.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I spent a good amount of time troubleshooting my dash-cam install only to find out that this 12v outlet doesn't even work. Tested with a multimeter and found that no current passes through it... Do not buy.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Not worth the money, don't buy it.

Got this to power a Coleman cooler, lasted less than 36 hours before it stop working. Only thing sort of worth the money is the alligator clips, otherwise stay clear of it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: Can I use this product to pump tires (Car’s cigarette socket not working) by: (1) Start engine (2) Connect its battery clips to car’s battery (3) Insert air compressor (draws 8-13 amp; max 15) plug to its socket (4) pump tires?

    1 Answer
    • A: We do not suggest customer to use 037-4552 to pump tires. The current of the compressor is 8-13 A which beyond the capacity of 037-4552. We suggest 037-4552 is used for total draw less than 5 A.
