I have a yardworks less than 5 years old, my son lost the only key it came with so i bought this even having read the reviews.
They are all accurate, it wouldn't stay in so i had to duct tape it in, thankfully that worked.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought these as I lost the one for my yard works blower purchased at the same store. The manufacturer year of the blower was 2023. The product description stated it was good for all MTD Briggs & Stratton as well yard works blowers . It how ever doesn't fit the blower correctly it doesn't stay in place. While it engages the blower but only if you hold it in place the second you let it go the blower cuts out as it pops out just enough so the ignition dose not stay engages. Very disappointed in this blower 8n general... the stor dose not carry any of the correct replacement pars for a product sold in store

Does not fit

The pack says "Fits all MTD Snowblower" but it does not fit mine an MTD PRO purchased in 2008. it is to big. to wide. It may work if I file it down like another reviewer did. I shoved in a zip tie and that works but I'm not sure for how long. What I should have searched for initially is a key for a Briggs & Stratton 250 cc motor series 11.00

WON'T FIT TECUMSEH SNOWKING

Key probably fits the brands listed.
It does not fit my ARIENS 5/20 with TECUMSEH SNOWKING engine. The length is correct, but blade is too thick. I filed it down to a flat profile on both side and in it goes. I probably could have used the key "as-is" by widening the key slot in the carburetor cover.
Now i have 2 spares for the 1/3 price of 1 real one. I keep the key tethered to the blower with a short chain.

A: I have a Tecumseh SNOWKING on an ARIENS 5/20 blower. The key blade is the correct length, but too thick to go into the key slot on the carb cover. I filed both sides of the key down to a flat profile. It now slides in easily. Filing the plastic key seemed easier then trying to widen the slot in the steel cover.

A: Thank you for your question. This key fits current OHV snow thrower engines. Your Mastercraft 29" model was powered by a legacy Tecumseh Snow King engine and will require key #740077. Search for that part number online or visit your local small engine service shop.
