Does not contain Chems necessary for maintenance

Does not contain the Chema you need to maintain your spa. It the Chema you need separately. Mainly shock, calcium, alk and bromine tabs or granules

NOT A STARTER kit. It’s a MAINTENANCE kit. Very misleading packaging.

Kit does not come with required bromine booster to establish bromine bank leaving you chasing your tail trying to get water level correct. This is a MAINTENANCE KIT and Aquarius should be ashamed of themselves for misleading people.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: How do I fix a ph balance that is too high? I bought this spa kit as well as Aquarius ph + and Aquarius ph- as well as a shock treatment

    • A: I actually got the aquarius app for my phone. Does both pool and spa, and takes the guess work out of it.

Q: With clear it, do I still need to stock the hottub? Is that a different product?

    1 Answer
    • A: Hi, the Spa shock treatment should be done once a week or more often when the spa usage is heavier. The shock will boost or reactivate your sanitizer (bromine or chlorine) to kill bacteria and organic waste. By defauIt it will help to maintain the water clear. When you have a cloudy water issue we recommend to increase your filtration time if possible, if your sanitizer level is low add a shock and a dose of Clear It. If you sanitizer level is good, increase your filtration and a dose of Clear It.

Q: My inflatable hot tub is approx 700 litres. i bought this kit and the duck dispenser i am not sure how many bromine tablets to put in the duck and how open to leave it? also should i use the duck and the shock treatment(amount?) the first fill?

    1 Answer
    • A: Hi, first thing you will need to do is to shock the water, the dosage is 50 g/1000L. You can put the duck in the water right after. We would recommend to start with 2 tabs and set the regulator half open. Test your water with test strips to check the bromine level. Adjust according to you water testing result. Bromine consumption will depend on the spa usage. Thank you

Q: It is CLEAR IT, and oxidizer or shocker??? If not, what could I use?

    1 Answer
    • A: Hi, Clear it is neither an oxidizer or a shock. It is a clarifier. If you want to shock or oxidize your spa water while using bromine tab, we recommend to use the Spa Shock (0813709). Thank you

Q: Is this a safe starter kit for an inflatable spa such as the coleman saluspa?

    1 Answer
    • A: Hi Martin, yes no problem. This kit is good to be used with any type of spa. The only thing is we recommend to get a small floater to put the bromine tabs. We do recommend to check your water with the test strips once a week. According to your reading add 1 to 3 tablets of Bromine in the floating device. Add the weekly dosage of Cleart It and Stain Prevent. Usage of the Foam Away is only when needed. Thank you

Q: How do you balance pH? "Balance and maintain the pH levels between 7.2 and 7.8" Again, with which bottle? The instructions say "Add Aquarius Spa Bromine Tabs through a floating dispenser..." Okay, why is this floating dispenser not included?

    1 Answer
    • A: Thank you for your inquiry. We do not include the balancers because there are too many regional differences. Please visit your Canadian Tire Store to purchase this product. We do not supply the floater due to personal choices and consumers sometimes have them already.

Q: How do you balance Alkalinity? The instructions say "Using your Aqua Check Red" do they mean the red boxes on the test strips? "Adjust the Alkalinity between 100 and 150 ppm" Okay... Which bottle do I use to adjust it?

    1 Answer
    • A: Aquacheck Red is used to determine the level of bromine and pH in the water. The product needed to adjust the alkalinity is not included because it is not always required. It all depends on the water test results. Municipal water are usually balanced.

Q: How do you balance Alkalinity? I purchased an inflatable MSpa from you, so as it is vinyl I think I am not suppose to use the Stain Prevent?

    1 Answer
    • A: Follow the steps for using your specific test kit to test the total alkalinity of the pool water. Test kits can vary in how they are used, so following the directions on the one being used is the best practice. The acceptable range for the total alkalinity is between 80 and 130 parts per million. To balance the Alkalinity, please use sku # 081-3737-6. Follow the proper dosage specified on the product label. Sprinkle the chemical around the entire pool, throwing it out into the middle of the pool as much as possible. Allow the chemical to circulate in the pool for several hours and test again. Add more chemical if the total alkalinity is still not balance. Stain Prevent will protect your equipment against staining and scaling from metals in water. Please use following the dosage rate listed on the product label.
