I chose this product (verses the pre measured and individually packaged ones) to try it out. It’s Easy to measure (using the cap) and works really well. Highly recommend this one over the pre-measured and it costs 1/4 of the price!

Q: Why are the granules settling at the bottom of the pool and not dissolving after 24 hours? Is it safe for children to swim in the pool even if the granules have not completely dissolved. Pool is not heated.

    1 Answer
    • A: This product is meant to be predissolved in a bucket. Pouring the granules directly in the pool is not recommended as the dilution time can varies depending on water temperature. In this case, the best would be to have the water circulating faster so it can help with dilution and we recommend to wait before swimming.

Q: I shocked my pool and added Clorox algaecide at the same time. Is there any concerns with mixing the two chemicals? I’ve read I could have weakened their effectiveness by mixing together? Is it safe to swim? It’s been 14 hours over night now.

    1 Answer
    • A: Hi, yes it is safe to swim. It is best to wait 8-10 hours after shocking your pool before enjoying your pool again. That is why it is one of the reasons we recommend to do it in the evening.. Doing shock and adding algaecide at the same time can have a impact on the algeacide effectiveness. We recommend to space both product. Best scenario is to add the algaecide and wait 10 hours before adding the shock. Thank you

Q: Is this product compatible with Bromine hot tubs?  How much is necessary to shock a 1900 litre hot tub?

    1 Answer
    • A: Hi, This product is not compatible with a bromine hot tub. It will raise the pH. We recommend the Aquarius Spa Shock, product code 0813709, which is not the same raw chemical. This shock will reactivate the available bromine in your spa, destroy the contaminants and clarify the water. The dosage is 50g/ 1000 L Thank you
