Q: Is this jug of chlorine a suitable size to use with a pool or is this smaller size jug only good for hot tubs?

3 Answers
  • A: I add 2L per day to my inground pool so I purchase in quantities of 10 bottles, but it's easier to manage than larger bulk containers.

  • A: 500mL will raise the Free Chlorine in your pool by from 0 to 4ppm - Expect to add approximately 250mL per day to maintain the sanitizer levels. Make sure your CYA (stabilizer) levels are between 30-60.

  • A: I use about a bottle a month. Plus I use the night light duck that you put the chlorine tabs in and they slowly dissolve. My pool is 12’x22’ and it stays about a month at a time.

Q: Should this chlorine be added to inground saltwater pool with the opening kit?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi Beth, If the opening kit specific for a saltwater pool is calling to add Chlorinating Liquid, then this is the product to use. I recommend consulting the operating manual of the salt chlorinator and pump and filter to ensure this is the correct opening product. Thank you,

Q: Can this be used to chlorinate a drinking water well?

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, but I would have a carbon filter to remove the chlorine before using. The chlorine is a good disinfectant but not a healthy additive to drinking water.
