Purchase this container because I had one before and it was great. It worked well, but being in the sun for a number of summers, it became brittle. Good dollar value for the time I had it this bought another.

Inefective

Wasn't able to maintain pool chlorine level. 3 pucks seemed to dissolve too slowly. Also drifted into skimmer opening repeatadly. Then tied to hold near return. Still not dissipating enough chlorine.

A: You can use it for any size pool if you want, it only dilutes chlorine as it's floating. Remove when kids are in and check your levels at least 3 times a week

Q: Do you need to remove the chlorine dispenser while people are swimming in the pool? Is it safe to swim immediately after putting the filled dispenser in the pool? I have a small 12ft above ground pool.

A: No, it is fine to leave it in the pool. We have a 12 ft diameter pool as well. We leave one puck in the dispenser all the time. I suppose if you had lots of people in the pool, you could remove it for a couple of hours, so it isn’t in anyone’s way. Enjoy!

Q: How do I know how much chlorine/ how many pucks to put in, and what level to set the dispenser to? I have a small above ground pool- 10' X 30''

A: This dispenser can contain up to 5 x 200g pucks. Regarding the level, it depends on a lot of factors (size, sun exposition, frequency of use....). Each pool is different, so you must test the chlorine level of your water with a test kit, and adjust the level of the dispenser accordingly.

A: 200G = 3 Inch puck. I took my scale out and weighed the 3" pucks I have. So according to CPA Pool Products Inc. it does hold 5X 3 inch pucks.

Q: Even with the dispenser closed, my chlorine levels would be more than 10ppm (should be between 1 and 3 ppm). My pool is 12ft diameter approximately 6000 litres. Anyone have this problem?

A: Yes we have a similar result w a 10 foot pool. We keep it closed also, and only put a couple chlorine pucks in at a time, rather than filling it. That helps. Also we only put it in overnight.

A: Yes it can work in a hot tub, but we suggest to use the smaller version 81-3055-8 which is made spas/hot tubs.
