Hi Chris,
I am sorry for the misunderstanding. This item does have a universal handle that will allow a telescopic pole to attach to the vacuum. There should be 1 in every box. Telescopic pole and garden hose are not included.

It's pretty much useless! You have to be in the pool to use it as it keeps lifting off the bottom of the pool. The mesh lets smaller particles flow right through & back into the pool.
