Q: is there a difference between chemicals used for hottub versus a pool. IE aka-boost, Calcium Boost PH-, Ph+ etc etc. Some of the labeling says for Pools and other label say pools and spa. thank you

A: There is a difference between the chemicals, based on adjusting and neutralizing the pH of your pool/spa. Best go on the Net where there are tutorials.

Q: There are questions about using it in a hot tub. I have no issue with it being a large amount as it's cheaper in bulk. Is it the same composition as the smaller Aquarius made for hot tub? I think that's what people want to know

A: It's not on the label, but "Alka-boost" is Sodium bicarbonate, known as "baking soda" or bicarbonate of soda. One answer says it contains "seven grades", which means it is not food grade (ie don't cook with it). And yes, it is a bulk product; the more you buy the less you pay. PS Ph+ is Sodium CARBONATE, also known as "washing soda", soda ash and soda crystals. Caution- It is NOT the same, it is much more alkaline

A: It is 100% sodium bicarbonate and there are 7 grades of bicarb this is industrial grade
