Did not work. My pool water was cloudy. I tried this product. Followed the instructions on the label with the only result being my wallet a little lighter. I would not recommend this product.

Q: We have a quickset pool (12 foot). We had cloudy pool water and so we added the clarifier (granules). Pool water is clear, however, we have the leftover residue (bottom of pool). Vacuuming not working. How can we remove this residue from the pool ?

  • A: Hi, the best option for removing precipitated particles is to vacuum very slowly. Also, you can stir the water around and your filter will eventually catch it , but it may cloud your water. Thank you

Q: I just opened my inground pool and purchased 1 kg bottle of the Pool Water Clarifier. The directions have changed to spreading it across the surface. In the past it said to add to the skimmer. I prefer the skimmer use. Directions please for using skimmer.

  • A: Hi, the granular clarifier is either spread at the surface of the water or in the skimmer if you have a sand filter and the lever is on recirculation/whirlpool mode. Thank you

Q: I used to add straight into the skimmer and this product worked a treat. Now I read that it says sprinkle onto the water but when I do this the water turns milky and takes several days to rectify. What is the right method?

Q: can you use the pool and swim with this product in the water?

  • A: Good afternoon, If we are talking about the AQUARIUS POOL WATER CLARIFIER (product code 081-3394-0), we recommend waiting 24 hours before swimming, as this product is designed to clarify your pool water. Here are the directions for use: 1.Stop the filtration system and put the filter in “Recirculate” (or “Whirlpool”) position. Start the system. 2. Sprinkle the required quantity on the surface of water, in front of the water outlet. 3. Recirculate pool water for 4 to 6 hours to disperse product. Stop the filtration system and allow water to remain undisturbed overnight so that debris can settle at the bottom of the pool. 4. Restart the filtration system and remove residue by putting filtration system in “Drain” (or “Waste”) position and vacuuming. Thank you

Q: What's the difference between this & Quick Clear? Treating 50,000 liters with sand filter.

  • A: Hi, Quick Clear is a new generation of clarifier. It is fast acting and a simple clarifing process. The product is placed is the skimmer and dissolves in few minutes. It will increase your filtration power by capturing very fine particles. 24-48 hours later backwash is required to remove dirt. The clarifying granules is used for heavy or long-lasting problems. pH must be ajusted before, poduct must move in the pool for few hours and then the pump need to be turned off to stop movement and allow the particles to precipitates. Last step is to vacum on waste wich will lower the water volume. Thank you

Q: i have a small quickset pool. The filter is relatively weak. Do you recommend this product?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi, we do not recommend using the granular clarifier. This product is used to precipitate de particles at the bottom of the pool. You will need to vaccum on drain position, meaning the dirt and water need to get out of the pool. With the type of filtration equipment you have you cannot do the vacuum step. Instead, we recommend using the liquid clarifier, Aquarius Clear It 0813303. Particles that may cloud your water will get bigger with the liquid clarifier and they will be catch by your filtration system. Thank you

Q: Do I let settle to the bottom or continuously filter? Directions say to let settle but then that a flocculant. Clarifier need to be filtered. I'm confused and my water is cloudier than ever.

  • A: Hi Jennifer, the optimal application is to put your filter in recirculation/Whirlpool mode. Add the Aquarius Granular Clarifier to the water. Let it circulate for 4-6 hours. Then turn off your pump for 8-10 hours. The particules will precipitate at the bottom. Vaccum the bottom of the pool in drain mode. Thank you
