This cast iron pipe flexible coupling features PVC construction, making it easy to install and suitable for connecting two pipe sections. With stainless steel band assemblies, the coupling securely joins cast iron or ABS pipes, allowing movement to eliminate stress on the pipes. Its simple design offers a reliable connection that is less prone to leakage.

    Works as it should

    It worked as intended. The only concern I had was with the gear clamp mechanism. It seemed a little on the fragile side while I tightened it to the point I thought it might strip. All good in the end however.

    Q: can it be used to connect abs drain pipe from sump pump? Would it last >10 years in such application?

    • A: Hello, This coupling connects cast iron or plastic pipe sections to other cast iron or plastic pipe sections. It is designed for drain, waste & vent use, so that should work. There is no exact timeline for how long it would last.

    Q: Can these be use on cars? I need some of these for my car intake as a coupler for tubing on the engine bay. Is this made of silicone?

    • A: These are made of flexible PVC and designed for use in water drainage situations on Cast iron, plastic, cement and clay pipe. It is not recommended to use in car applications.
