This is much better than putting the pucks in the skimmer. Allows a slower release and doesn't dissolve way too quickly like it does in the skimmer

UNKNOWN RESULT AT THIS TIME SO I CAN'T RATE IT, SO A NEUTRAL RATING. I AM GOING TO EXPERIMENT WITH THIS IN POOL CLOSING BY FILLING IT WITH CHLORINE PUCKS. HAVING A POOL TURN GREEN WITH ALGAE IN SPRING REQUIRES HOURS OF CLEAN UP EXTRA,CHEMICAL AND ENERGY PUMPING, THEN CLEANING DIRTY FILTERS AFTERWARDS. I HAD SUCCESS LAST YEAR WITH AGRESSIVE CHLORINE CONTINOUS ADD AND EARLY EARLY SPRING CHLORINE SHOCK. THIS MAY MAKE IT EASIER

Q: the 2 month old dispenser sank with 5 tablets in it overnight and now I have a bleached spot on my liner. Why did it sink?

  • A: That's never happened to me. All I can think of is that at the bottom of the dispenser you can slide it open so as to open a "door" like opening so that the water in which the dispenser is submerged is open to the contents of the dispenser, perhaps allowing the dispenser and its contents to float.

Q: This dispenser always sinks when placed in the pool with 1 puck inside. Are you supposed to tie a string to it, or Am I missing something??

  • A: You can use it for any size pool if you want, it only dilutes chlorine as it's floating. Remove when kids are in and check your levels at least 3 times a week

Q: Do you need to remove the chlorine dispenser while people are swimming in the pool? Is it safe to swim immediately after putting the filled dispenser in the pool? I have a small 12ft above ground pool.

  • A: No, it is fine to leave it in the pool. We have a 12 ft diameter pool as well. We leave one puck in the dispenser all the time. I suppose if you had lots of people in the pool, you could remove it for a couple of hours, so it isn’t in anyone’s way. Enjoy!

Q: How do I know how much chlorine/ how many pucks to put in, and what level to set the dispenser to? I have a small above ground pool- 10' X 30''

  • A: This dispenser can contain up to 5 x 200g pucks. Regarding the level, it depends on a lot of factors (size, sun exposition, frequency of use....). Each pool is different, so you must test the chlorine level of your water with a test kit, and adjust the level of the dispenser accordingly.

Q: Does this fit 3” pucks?

  • A: 200G = 3 Inch puck. I took my scale out and weighed the 3" pucks I have. So according to CPA Pool Products Inc. it does hold 5X 3 inch pucks.

Q: Even with the dispenser closed, my chlorine levels would be more than 10ppm (should be between 1 and 3 ppm). My pool is 12ft diameter approximately 6000 litres. Anyone have this problem?

  • A: Yes we have a similar result w a 10 foot pool. We keep it closed also, and only put a couple chlorine pucks in at a time, rather than filling it. That helps. Also we only put it in overnight.
