I bought this measuring cup last month. Hardly used, but it shattered itself while it was securely stored in our pantry cupboard. Assume a manufacturing defect or poor quality of material.

Q: What is the maximum temperature this cup can take. I plan on melting plastic for making baits and the temperature of the molten plastic will be around 350F.
