Disappointing
a month ago
When I bought it I didn’t expect it to be extremely accurate but after some burned and overcooked meals I started to doubt the thermometer.
I checked the thermometer in melting ice and in boiling water. In boiling water it should be 212F, it is 143. There’s no way to calibrate it so it was a waste of money.
The idea of a wireless thermometer is great , unfortunately the quality control of the manufacturer is below average to put it mildly. My experience with this model is apparently not uncommon.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can this measure the oven temperature for accuracy as well? or just the temp of food/meats within the oven?

A: Personally I don’t find it even measures the food temp well. We haven’t used it since we first bought it because we can’t trust it to measure accurately and have to check it with another thermometer anyway.

A: On the back of the hand held temperature reader you’ll find the battery compartment. Slide off the cover of the battery compartment. You’ll see a switch. You merely flip the switch to either Celsius or Fahrenheit.

A: I don't believe it can be calibrated. There is no mention of it in the Instruction Manual. There is a Toll-free number that may be able to answer your question 1-855-803-9313.
