In our apartment complex they are required to test the fire alarm system annually. During that time the alarm is going off for hours so we have 2 choices, leave or stay and tolerate the noise. I bought these earmuffs and they really work. Could hardly tell the alarms were even going off. I was still able to wear my ear buds and listen to music or watch videos on my tablet while also wearing the earmuffs.

A: Headband itself is fixed, however you can slide the ear protection up and down on the straight metal rod on both sides to adjust for head size. For reference, it fits my toddler and myself (tall adult).
