Q: Is the plastic part clear enough that you can read words? I was given a good one but the plastic is kind of foggy so I can't read with it on!

A: Hi, thank you for your question. Our 3M face shields are tested for clarity via the CSA Z94.3 standard. The ability to read through the shield would depend on your visual acuity. Technically when wearing a liftable faceshield, safety glasses are still required under the shield. Therefore many of our customers are looking through both the safety glass and shield lens and have no issues reading text. Thank you

Q: Hi. Is there a lighter face shield that will fit this 3M headgear? I’m finding the polycarbonate shield really heavy to wear over 8h day. Thanks.

A: Hi there, thanks for reaching out! In terms of lightweight faceshields that are compatible, we suggest giving V2C-10P and V3C-10P a try. Unfortunately, both of these items are on backorder due to COVID-19 and we likely won’t have stock for another 3-6 months.

Q: The mask falls down, hits my nose & the very bottom rests on my upper chest. It sits so low that it impairs my vision. I can't determine how one keeps the mask in an upright position, so that it doesn't impair vision & doesn't hit your nose/face.

Q: Can I flip the face shield up so I can drink coffee without taking it off?

A: Hi Bobby, thank you for your question. The visor is liftable. Please note that safety eyewear is required to be worn under liftable visors as per the CSA standard, and that you can only lift the when you are in an environment where its safe to do. Please see your specific work place procedures on when its allowed to lift the visor.
