Superior hearing protection with faultless Bluetooth

I've been nursing a 10 year old pair with duct tape and tie downs for the past couple of years, and finally replaced them with these. This pair is very similar to my old workpros except these don't get charged with a USB or charging cord, they instead use double A batteries. I already have plenty of rechargeable batteries, so not a huge disappointment. Actually I've only had to change them once in 2 weeks. Comfortable, good Bluetooth system, and provide superior hearing protection.

Not work

Had these for 4 weeks in normal working conditions driving fork lift. Within these 4 weeks the power button stoped working. Low quality. Worked good up until. Would not recommend

Total let down

Bought a month ago, was instantly let down…I thought I would give them a try and work out the quirks….no, they generate more noise than they cancel, the active noise canceling is HORRIBLE, using them off most of the time with headphones underneath….none of the features work as intended. None.
I’m going to try and return them this week
No, I do not recommend this product.

I live and work in Canada. I scanned through a lot of reviews to find the "best active ear protection for work"
Today it's -26 C and I'm trying these headphones out for the first time.
When I was working in a warm, loud environment they worked great.
But when I went to go work outside in the elements, a small static began, then grew, then the noise cancelling stopped entirely within a span of 10 minutes.
When I brought them back inside, it took another 10 minutes and several side-of-head finger snaps to get the active noise cancelling to work again.
I really enjoy them and wish they worked outside but unfortunately, with winter weather being a part of most of my work, these are not up to the task.

Q: Do these have an internal rechargeable battery with optional replaceable AA batteries or is it solely AA batteries?

A: Hi Newfie, with this Pro Protect 90546 headset, only AA batteries are compatible. It doesn’t have an internal battery. For our 90542 and 90541 headsets we do offer an optional rechargeable li-ion battery pack – 3M Alpha 1100, but it’s not compatible with the 90546 headsets unfortunately.

Q: Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a defect.. turn these on and they connect at normal volume for a few seconds and then immediately go to max volume until I touch the volume button.. then they go back down to normal volume

A: Volume on phone is set very low.... but headset comes on close to max volume, button on headset announces 4 different volume levels... it comes on max a few seconds after i start the headset
