Q: Can this be used to soundproof a wall in my condo?

A: We do not recommend the 3M Sound Reduction Mat to soundproof the wall in your condo. This mat is designed for absorbing noise vibration and harshness on automotive sheet metal parts. It has not been designed for architectural use.

A: The mat is 1/16th inch thick (around 1.78 mm).

Q: can sound reduction mat be used on a side by side engine cover.

A: The upper temperature limit for the product is 70 degrees Celsius. So if the engine cover does not exceed that and will be free of oil, fuel etc. It should be OK.
