Worked great

I used this under a stainless sink to make it soundless tinny and it worked great. It was easy to apply and took only 20 minutes. A little expensive so only 4 stars.

Stops vibration

Have used this in my old car to stop rattles and sound from leaking out of the car after a speaker upgrade. My front doors developed rattles near the mirrors, and around the glovebox on the passenger side. A few sheets of this and a couple of attempts and the noise is gone. It's nice to stop at a red light and not feel as if the car at idle was going to vibrate into pieces underneath you. It's easy to cut and use and gets points for availability and price. There are other brands that pro-installers use, but have no idea where to get those locally and prices I've seen online have been way out of my budget. I grab one or two of these packages of 3M every month and tackle a project at a time. Rattle in door, fixed. Next is covering the trunk under the new rear speakers I'm installing. Then the rear doors. Have a need for it, grab a box and try it out.

Q: Can this be used to soundproof a wall in my condo?

A: We do not recommend the 3M Sound Reduction Mat to soundproof the wall in your condo. This mat is designed for absorbing noise vibration and harshness on automotive sheet metal parts. It has not been designed for architectural use.

Q: can sound reduction mat be used on a side by side engine cover.

A: The upper temperature limit for the product is 70 degrees Celsius. So if the engine cover does not exceed that and will be free of oil, fuel etc. It should be OK.
