Worst Shocks I’ve Ever Had

a year ago

My mechanic replaced my OEM shocks on my Ram 1500 with these shocks. They’re awful. It’s the worst riding suspension I’ve had on any vehicle I’ve owned. In the city, on the highway, they’re incredibly stiff. If you have a load they ride better but for everyday normal driving the ride quality is awful.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Is there a temperature range that they are effective at? I find living in Cold Lake Alberta that the cold temperatures cause shocks and struts to lose there ability to absorb. Feels like riding on springs only.

1 Answer

A: The vendor advised that they design their valving and fluid to work correctly to -40. However you should keep in mind that the tires and other suspension components will ride firmer when cold so just replacing the shocks will not always change the ride at cold temperatures.
