Excellent product. I replace frying pans frequently. This is my second Paderno frying pan. I now have two great pans, one large and one small. Great nonstick surface. No more scraping or soaking. The first one is over two years old!

Q: What is the recommended dishwashing detergent for hand washing, I do not plan on placing it into a dishwasher, Also is it okay to leave it in the sink overnight soaking in the detergent and water.

A: We just use our regular dishwashing liquid (currently using Sunlight). We OFTEN leave it soaking with soap/water for overnight. We have 2 of these pans and love them!

Q: What is the warranty period, please, and does it cover the non-stick coating?

A: If you register the pan online, Paderno has a lifetime warranty and I don't see why it wouldn't cover the non-stick coating as that's most likely the first piece to bite the dust. I would greatly recommend these pans if you're considering, best non-stick pan I've ever owned.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the stainless steel used for the food contact portion of this fry pan (the main "body" of the fry pan) is food grade. This designation inherently means that there is both nickel and chromium in the stainless steel. These elements increase the corrosion resistance of the steel which is a key factor in making it "food grade". Generally speaking, stainless steel with less/without these elements is not corrosion resistant and therefore less suitable for food contact purposes.

Q: What is in the non-stick coating? Is it PTFE free as well?

A: The non-stick coating on this fry pan comes from the Whitford Corporation, an industry leader in non-stick coatings. It has been tested and proven safe for food contact. The coating, like all “non-stick” coatings does include PTFE, but it is safe for use in food contact applications. The alternative to PTFE non-stick coatings are ceramic coatings. We do not use ceramic coatings as they do not provide the same non-stick properties over time as PTFE coatings do. Typically the concern re non-stick cookware stems from the chemical known as PFOA. We would recommend that users look for product that is PFOA-free, like this Paderno product.
