Security?

Just installed in two basement windows. Tried keys from one window in the other and guess what, it opened. So any body can go into CTC poke a hole in the plastic take one of the keys and there goes all your security. Secondly went to take out one of the keys and it caught a little on the way out and thought it looked like the locking mechanism bent a little, gave a little pull and out came the bars. The washer holding on the locking finger is a flimsy little washer. pulled the other side and out came that side with the locking finger falling to the floor. Was going to add better washers to fix this problem but this won't solve the problem of the keys. There is absolutely no security with these bars do not buy!!!

Good quality bars

I've put these bars on my two basement windows. They were relatively easy to install and provide extra security. They seem to be a good solid bar for a reasonable price.

Q: The latch broke off, very flimsy so where can I get a replacement latch or at least who manufacturers this product so I can contact them? Purchased this product not long ago and already the flimsy latch that "locks" the bar came off.
