You get exactly what you pay for
The previous reviewer of this item fails to take into considerations two major points: the cost of this tool chest is -very- low, and the damage inflicted on his particular unit was due to shipping and handling, NOT quality of manufacture. If something was bent, broken, missing, or scratched, he should have returned it to the store for an exchange immediately. He is also expecting quality and durability of a tool chest costing 3-5 times as much as this one, and it clearly biases his review. If you want a solidly built unit, you're gonna have to pay for it.
Personally I believe the cost/quality ratio is perfect. Is it built as solidly as high-end Mastercraft model? Of course not. Should you expect it to withstand use in a professional environment? Of course not. It is what it is, and the fact is this tool box is meant for light duty by a hobbyist. With that in mind, this toolbox delivers exactly that. Real ball-bearing slides that have smooth, fluid action, though possibly a tad heavily greased. Drawer liners are included, which was honestly a surprise to find. I have loaded down the deeper drawers with a very heavy assortment of tools (86-piece tap & die set, 28-piece long wrench set, large assortment of milling machine accessories (chucks, arbors, ER32 collets, v-blocks, 123 blocks, clamping kits, precision vises, etc.) and have not had any problems with the weight. That said, there are maximum weight limits (as with ANY tool box) and these are clearly spelled out in the documentation that comes with the tool chest. If your unit fails because you overloaded it, that is nobody's fault but your own for disregarding the instruction manual.
One thing I would not recommend is using the handles to lift the top section when loaded with tools. The handles just attach with sheet metal screws to the outer side walls with no reinforcement, and would more than likely tear out the holes and bend the metal if lifted with a heavy load. Indeed, I would recommend that one does not even install them, for the temptation to lift would be ever present.
All in all, would buy again if budget was a concern.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Not Impressed

I just bought this tool chest on their ''Red Thursday" sale. I opened it up to start assembly, and notice 2 bolts on the caster bracket didn't have nuts on it at all, not even in the box. then I get the top chest out and notice a huge scratch on the "durable" powder coat. Also the top flip lid hinge was bent and so was side of the lid. After all that, it was together and I opened a drawer and was hugely disappointed, they're stiff slides, very flimsy, no support at all. I wouldn't trust really anything but screw drivers in there. I don't recommend this tool box to anyone, that's my opinion.
No, I do not recommend this product.
