Needed an outdoor game for the cottage, this was on sale. Nice and solidly build, not like some of the others I've seen. The carrying case was an added bonus keeps everything together.

A beautiful set to look at, but not built to last for real play.

I really wanted to like this set—it looks great, has a solid weight, and at first glance feels like good quality. Unfortunately, durability is a serious issue. The first time I played, one ball cracked completely in half after a normal hit. I returned it to Canadian Tire and got a replacement set. That second set only lasted about two weeks before another ball chipped a large piece off. Bocce is a game where balls will inevitably strike each other, especially if you’re playing with experienced players who throw with some force. A proper set should be able to handle that. Sadly, this one just can’t take the hits.

  • A: There are two colours only. A total of 4 red and 4 green. However there are two patterns per colour… 2 circles or 2 squares…so you can play two players or four players (teams of two). Teams would recognize their ball by the pattern on it.
