7 STEPS
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Take a few pictures of how the chain wraps in the derailleurs and cogs of the wheels
Clean the bike chain
Use a clean rag with a degreaser. Lightly wrap the rag around the chain then rotate the pedals in reverse to slide the chain through the rag
Place the rivet extractor on the chain
Turn the handle to start forcing the pin out of the chain entirely
Now, remove the old chain
Route the new chain in through the derailleurs and cranks
Use the rivet extractor to push the new pin through the chain link
Apply a small amount of oil to the rag and smear down the chain
Run the chain through the various gears of the bike for 30 seconds
