Q: The tip that is on the crafting tool is that a spacer or is that the woodburning tip or possibly a soldery tip?

On the inside, there is a ceramic rod that transfers heat which should not be directly applied to any working surfaces (so that you don't get residue build-up. The outer silver part in the image is the outer sleeve that is used to hold any tips in place. It might heat up a bit, but I wouldn't reccomend using it for wood burning or soldering, as it doesn't make direct contact with the ceramic heater, so it would likely be much less hot than your temperature settings indicate

Q: What does the SLP code mean, and what generates it? My tool displayed this while in operation. I had to turn it off and turn it back on to continue.

    • A: Hello there! Thank you for your question. The WX290L 20V Impact Driver uses a 1/4-inch hex bits. To install a bit, pull the collet locking sleeve away from the body of the drill. Install the bit and release the collar. You can download a digital version of the owner's manual here: https://worx.com/media/wysiwyg/pdp-pages/manuals/WX290LM.pdf

If you are trying to engrave metal we recommend the WORX Rotary Tool (WX739L). It is excellent for grinding metal. Thank you for choosing Worx!
