Stopped working

I bought one just before Christmas it stopped working a few days ago, I couldn’t find my receipt, the girl at Canadian Tire tried to find it on their computer, with no luck, I must have paid cash. So I couldn’t get it replaced. I ended up buying the same type again, see how that goes.

Q: why is this advertised as a timer? It is not a timer and nor is it programmable from the remote as it says. you can simply turn it on and off only from the remote or from the device itself.

Q: We changed the battery in the remote but the only way it will turn off /on is at the cord switch. Can you please let me know if there is something else we can try to get this working again?
