When I read the reviews people had issue with the remote so I was a little skeptical but it worked great for me. Zero issues. I like that its so easy to turn my outdoor lights on and off. I plan to use this for my fountain in the summer as well. I've always had good experience with Woods brand and I do recommend this.

I would say the product is "almost" perfect. So, I am a tech guy and I followed religiously the instructions out of the box. BUT, I was not able to pair the remote. After about 8 trial, I gave up. I was about to return it to the store and then I called support, the number was on the box. They kindly offered me to send a new one directly to my place after they had all my contact information. Then, we decided (live) to try one last time to pair de remote. Eureka, it worked. It appeared that I was not dumb and what was not clearly stated in the instructions is that you have to plug the device, and instantly press one button on the remote. Do not wait 4 or 5 seconds like I did 8 times. The device is finally working VERY well but remember, you have a tiny second to pair the remote. Good Luck !

Q: why is this advertised as a timer? It is not a timer and nor is it programmable from the remote as it says. you can simply turn it on and off only from the remote or from the device itself.
