I am using this switch to control a small heater at my cottage. I frequently go there in the winter for outdoor activities and I can remotely turn on the heater when I am on my way up. I like that I can see how much power it is consuming, and the added bonus of a couple of USB ports to charge phones, cameras, etc. No more dragging chargers back and forth to the cottage for me. The application also lets me see if it is powered on or off if I happen to forget. Great app with lots of features if you are simply looking for something to control a few power outlets. You can enable them manually, on a daily schedule that you create, or at the sunrise / sunset time for your location. I'm looking forward to adding more of these Internet controlled switches to my home and cottage.

Best way to control lamps and appliances

This is a do everything timer outlet. Controlled by an app on you phone it can be programmed with schedules, monitored and switched from your phone, it measures energy used and has 2 USB charger ports. What doesn't it do? Super easy setup. I am waiting for the wall switch to arrive in store so I can buy it
