Product Details

Are ants making your home life miserable? Want to stick it to ants where it hurts them the most? Wilson ANT OUT Ant Stakes are just the thing. Stakes extra long to ensure the secure placement of the bait stations outdoors. The stations contain a combination of sugar and proteins that attracts ants, along with borax, a slow-acting ant killer. Because the borax works slowly, ants take the food substance and the borax back to the colony and share them with other ants and the queen. Other ants follow a pheromone trail back to the bait stake, and continue the sharing process. Generally, colonies are eliminated within 7 days.

  • Ant-Out Outdoor Stakes feature an extra long spikes to secure placement along ant trails and hills

  • Kills the queen and entire colony

  • Child resistant stakes

  • Includes 6 stakes per package

Difficult to say, but believe it worked to some degree. Not seeing the mounds of dirt in thd grass, and seeing fewer in raised garden bed.

    Hi,

Thank you for the comments on Wilson Ant OUT WilsonHomeGardenProducts

    Skunks love it.

Whether it works or not is unknown as it seems to attract skunks who heartily tear it apart.

    Only there to feed raccoons!

These things are utterly useless. I put them in my yard to handle a growing ant problem, but some kind of wildlife (maybe raccoons?) pried them out of the ground, tore them apart and ate all the ant bait! For the few days they were in place, they did attract the ants, but since they were only in place for a few days, they won't do much good. If you have wildlife around, these are not gong to be useful in controlling any ants.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Hi, ants seem to be around the traps and taking the bait, however, I want to know if there was rain and the traps gotten wet, do I need to replace them? The instruction only says to replace every 30 days, thanks!

    1 Answer
    • A: Rain will not affect the bait in the covered traps as they are intended to be placed directly in the “elements” near ant trails and ant hills.

Q: Wilson ant out stakes. Our dog ate the wax from inside the stake and we do not have the packaging. Will this harm him?

    1 Answer
    • A: The bait substance inside Wilson AntOut Outdoor Ant Stakes should pose no health issue to your dog. It contains a small amount of peanut butter (6 g), along with some sugar, which are both used to attract ants. It also contain 5% Borax, but at this level should pose no health issues. Borax is commonly used in natural detergents, as well as fungal mouth treatments in pets. The main concern surrounding this product, and with your pet, will be the actual plastic container and stake that holds the bait. If your pet was to chew on this, or ingest some of the plastic, it could possibly result in dental or digestive issues. We recommend keeping a close eye on your pet and if his mood or demeanor should change, or if it is having trouble passing a stool, it would be advisable to have it examined by a veterinarian.

Q: How do I use Wilson Antout Bait Stakes I have placed the stakes around my yard. There seemed to be no other instructions on the package. Q: Do I also need to 'punch open' the holes in the stakeheads? I don't see the ants heading for this irresistable bait...

    1 Answer
    • A: When using Wilson AntOut Outdoor Ant Stakes, simply remove stakes from the outer packaging, insert stake into area to be treated by pushing it firmly into the ground with your hand, until the bottom of the bait station contacts the ground. DO NOT use your foot or a tool to place into ground. They are ready-to-use and do not require opening. Place stakes where ants are seen, such as near door and other entrances, next to patios, around house foundations/garages/sheds, in potted plants, and in and around garden beds. Place the stakes 1.5 to 3 metres apart, and replace the stations every 30 days.
